2nd Grade Teacher
I graduated from Dalhart High School in Dalhart, Texas. I attended Oklahoma Panhandle State University in Goodwell, Oklahome upon graduating from Dalhart High. I graduated from OPSU.
My degree is in Elementary Education grades 1-8. I have a minor in Social Studies.
This summer I attended the Celebrating Freedom Social Studies Institute provided by the Texas Law Related Education. It was a 2-Day Institute providing useful information and resources for teaching social studies utilizing the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills.
Elevate Elementary Writing with Mentor Texts provided training in vertical alignment of writing strategies in preparation for the 4th Grade STAAR Writing Test using children’s books.
This is the start of my sixth year of teaching at Paducah ISD. In the 2018-2019 school year I will teach 2nd Grade.
I started my teaching career at St. Anthony's Catholic School in Hereford, Texas. My first year I taught Fourth Grade. I taught First Grade and Second Grade at Northwest Primary in Hereford for 12 years. I love teaching! My experience ranges from Nursery to Senior Adults.I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades. I truly believe that I am called to be a teacher!
I am married to David Williams, Pastor at First Baptist Church. We have 3 daughters Lesley who lives in Longview, Texas and is an Insturctional Coach with Spring Hill ISD.Lesley is married to Jason and they have 2 sons Mills and Myer. Mackinsey, our middle daughter lives in Lubbock and is a PPCD teacher at Overton Elementary. Kelsey, our youngest is a Paducah Alumni! Kelsey graduated from PISD in 2012. Kelsey is a Third Grade Math Teacher at Chandler Elementary in Kilgore, Texas. As you can tell, we are a family of educators!!
I have a Yorkie named Winston. I also have a German Shepherd/Golden Retriever named Duke.
I LOVE to read! When I am not at school I have my ipad in hand and am curled up reading. I read a total of 15 novels over summer vacation! I enjoy spending time with my M & M’s! (Mills & Myer)
