In mid-September the sequel to the phenomenally popular Maze Runner movie, “The Scorch Trials” was released in theaters. Raking in an estimated $30.3 million in its opening weekend, the highly anticipated film opened to strong reviews from critics and audiences alike. This action packed movie will definitely have you on the edge of your seat. Dylan O’Brien returns to star as Thomas and Kaya Scodelario returns as Teresa. 

     Based on the best-selling trilogy of books by James Dashner, the "Scorch Trials" picks up when the Gladers escape the maze featured in the first move "The Maze Runner". They are put through a different set of trials in scorch. The scorch, is filled with new obstacles that they have to face. Thomas and Teresa team up with others in the scorch who are trying to defeat those who put them in the maze. 

     “It was action packed, thrilling, and had its funny moments too. If you’re into post-apocalyptic sci-fi movies this is a good one to go see.  It’s also a good movie to go see with your friends,” senior Leslie Mayo said.
