The flakes fall; black and white scenes.
    A masquerade, hiding the true colors,
behind the real me.

Trying to find the place, a safe haven.
    Only to be disappointed.
Alone, staring at the sky,  as the world seemed to slow down,
the flake fell on my face.

The cool, wet feeling, somehow comforting.
    The only place I felt safe, in the snow,
an internal snow.

My body cold, suffering the daily thoughts of missing you.

I deserve it, the pain.
Blame it on me.
Even though you don't feel the same way I feel,
I still want you to;
Only for closure
The piece that had been missing.

Gone with the wind.
Falling like the snow.
Cold like my heart.
