Student of the Month

The Paducah High School State Champion cheerleaders are the February Students of the Month. Nominated by the high school school faculty, the cheerleaders are an excellent example of student athletes. They consistently produce high quality academic work and are obviously the best cheerleaders in the entire state!  Squad members are seniors Hailey Wright, Kristyn Deaton and Ali Smith; junior Madison Beck, and freshmen Haley Hutchinson, Marley Beck and Kyanna Hurd. Freshman Caylin Flemons is the Dragon Mascot.

"These young ladies are a fantastic group and a class act. I am so proud of all of their hard work in the classroom and outside as well," high school science teacher Alicia Nash said.

High school English teacher Jori Parks added, "They are really a great group of kids. They work together as a team and support each other every way they can. It's nice to get to teach such well-rounded students."

I have an overwhelming appreciation for these young ladies and all their hard work.  Not only have they earned an amazing honor for their own history book, but they have brought great pride to our school and community.  I congratulate them on their gold medal memories.

The CapRock Telephone Elementary Student of the Month is pre-k student Joseph Meagher.  Joseph is the 5-year-old son of Marcus and Cara Meagher. He is in Pre-K and was nominated by his teacher, Michelle Whitaker.

"Joseph is always willing to do his work to the best of his ability. He is well mannered and an absolute delight to have in class," Mrs. Whitaker said.

When he grows up, Joseph wants to be a policeman just like his dad. When he's not in school he likes to play and lists Lunchables and chicken nuggets as his favorite things to eat.

     Congratulations, Joseph!
