Spring has returned and with it comes tennis. A dozen players will be representing the Dragons this year and all are beyond pleased with the pair of new tennis courts to practice on.
Tennis Coach Jori Parks was optimistic about the season. "We have some new faces out this year, but we also have a strong returning district champion ladies team in seniors Kristyn Deaton and Hailey Wright. Junior Kameron Todd will be playing singles this year and I believe he will be able to do well in district play. We would like to take as many to the regional tournament as we did last year. "
The first tournament of the year is March 2-3 in Wellington. The Dragon Tennis Team will next trek to Vernon on March 23rd for their tournament , and district starts the first week of April. Parks is also hoping to participate in several practice matches with Crowell, Quanah, and Matador.
