The "Pride of Paducah" Dragon Band competed in the annual spring concert and site reading contests last week in Vernon. The band took the stage at Wilbarger Municipal Auditorium performing three concert selections: "Atlantis," "Ayrshire Portrait," and "Brandy Station March." The band earned a one rating for its performance and the students' hard work.
A former Paducah band director, David Eakins, was one of the judges and remarked that the band had done well.
Current Paducah band director Lee Brossette said, "I thought they did very well. This is the best result they'd had in ten years on stage."
