First Baptist Church Kicks Off Senior Festivities

Posted Date: 05/03/2016

The annual Senior Supper at the First Baptist Church always marks the beginning of the graduation season and its festivities for the Paducah High School seniors leading up to graduation. Last Sunday, the Paducah High School Class of 2016 arrived at the church to be greeted by church members who had worked hard to create a delicious meal to be served with an Under The Sea setting.

Seniors were served steak, shrimp, sesame bread, fried crawfish tails, crawfish boil, and the meal was topped off with key lime pie. After the meal, former PISD ag teacher John Utley spoke to the seniors about making good choices and how God and the people of Paducah will always be there for them whenever life gets too rough.

"The senior class would like to thank the Baptist church for all of their hard work. The food was fantastic and the message was awesome. We appreciate their interest in us," senior Kristyn Deaton said.

The seniors will attend the Missionary Baptist Church on Tuesday, May 10, for a senior meal.
