Posted Date: 05/29/2016

Last week, Paducah ISD's Business Professionals of America chapter traveled to Boston to compete at the  national conference.  The team had taken the state conference by storm and was looking forward to a strong showing at the national level. They did not disappoint. Every entrant who competed placed in the top ten finishers in their event.

The parliamentary procedure team of seniors Kenneth Neskorik and Leslie Mayo, freshmen Haley Hutchinson and Lexi Lecroy, juniors Madison Beck and Logan Taylor, and sophomore Kaleb Rochelle finished in second place. The  mid-level video production team of eighth graders Hunter Gilbert, Addyson Bowles, and Kayden Mackey also placed second. The mid-level presentation management team of eighth grader Olivia Ramos and seventh grader Dylan Adams snagged fourth place.  In individual events,  Lexi Lecroy placed sixth in Economic Research, and Madison Beck finished fifth in Administrative Support.

While in Boston, the team also took in the site, sounds and history of the city with sponsors Janell Rochelle and Andre Patterson.  The group saw the historic sites of the Freedom Trail, visited the Salem Witch Museum and explored the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library just to name a few.
