PHS athletes were honored for the year's achievements last week during the high school sports banquet.  Dragon Fire was the theme and every square inch of the  game gym was decorated by the hardworking parents of those athletes.  Superintendent Brian Patterson gave the invocation and guests were treated to  River Smith's barbecue and catfish and a video re-cap of the year in Dragon athletics.  

     Participation certificates were given to all athletic participants. Special awards in each sport were also give and these winners are as follows:

     Volleyball Awards:

     Defense: Kristyn Deaton and Hailey Wright

     Melanie Woods Memorial: Leslie Mayo

     Football Awards:

     Offense: Marcus Cruz and Joseph Garibaldi

     LT Pride Award: Marcus Cruz

     Wylie O. Jones Award: Joseph Garibaldi

     Girls Basketball:

     The evening ended with the recognition of the PHS state champion cheerleaders who  led everyone in the singing of the school song.
