Lady Dragons Drop Matches To Munday, Wichita Christian

     The Lady Dragons traveled to Munday last week for a double header against the Mogulettes and the Wichita Christian Lady Stars.  The Lady Dragons and Lady Stars played five sets before the Lady Dragons fell short in the fifth set.  In the first set, the ladies did terrific job  holding off the Lady Stars 25-19. But in the second set the Ladies barley squeezed out the win 25-23.  The third set proved to be the a change in momentum as the team  played well but fell short 23-2 and let the fourth set slip away by 3 points, 22-25. The deciding fifth saw the ladies continue their cold streak with a 6-15 loss.  The Lady Dragons and Moguelettes played three sets but lost all three sets. 
     In the first set the ladies looked sluggish posting a 14-25 loss .  The second set saw the team really but it wasn't enough for the win. The final set was the Dragons best against the Mogulettes but they still fell short in the end, 20-25. 
     Coach Tribble commented on the girls performance saying, “The girls played hard and are doing great things on the court. We still have a few gaps in our defense, but we will get that worked out. I am very proud of our girls' efforts and the pride they play with each time they step on the court.”
     The Lady Dragons will face Knox City at home on Tuesday, September 1.  The Lady Lizards play at 4 p.m.  Junior varsity begins at 5 p.m and varsity starts at 6 p.m.
