A new PHS Homecoming queen will be crowned at halftime of the game on September 18. This year's queen candidates, as nominated by the Dragon football players, are freshman Haley Hutchinson, sophomore Mickalea Frawner, junior Faith Walker, and senior Leslie Mayo.
Freshman nominee Haley Hutchinson is the 14-years-old daughter of Billy and Leslie Hutchinson. Her hobbies include hanging out with her friends and family, reading Nicholas Sparks books and playing with her dog, Chelsea. Her extra-curricular activities include playing volleyball, basketball, golf, running track, cheerleading, BPA, FFA, and UIL.
Mickalea Frawner is 15 years old and the daughter of Jaime and Sally Frawner. The sophomore nominee's extra-curricular activities are playing volleyball, basketball, tennis and she is in BPA. Her hobbies include playing with her brother EJ, riding around, hanging out with her family and friends, watching The Walking Dead and Awkward, listening to music and texting.
The junior nominee is Faith Walker, the 16-year-old daughter of Annette Walker and Billy Brisco. Her hobbies include watching Law & Order: SVU and Orange Is The New Black. She also likes to read, sing, listen to music and play with her niece Alaiyah. Walker is very busy in school as well, participating in basketball, volleyball, cheer, track, tennis, band and UIL.
Leslie Mayo, the 17-year-old daughter of Carey and Diana Mayo is the senior nominee. Her extra curricular activities include playing volleyball, basketball, golf, and running track. She is also in journalism, BPA, FFA, UIL, NHS and band. Her hobbies are eating, reading, listening to music, spending time with her friends, watching and playing sports, using social media as a comedy source, playing golf with her dad on the weekends, annoying her parents, spending time with her cat and making a film for her senior project.
