     Last week the Paducah High School seniors went to a career day in Goree sponsored by Knox City Visioning Group at the Knox Prairie Events Center.  Ten PHS students joined more than 300 students from surrounding schools.  There were speakers and sessions throughout the day that covered everything from human sciences, agriculture, and astronomy to heavy equipment operator. Students got to choose which sessions they were interested in or related to their career path.

     There was also a college fair with several colleges, universities and branches of the military represented like Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Vernon College, Tarleton State University, and the United States MarineCorp just to name a few. 

     “I liked that the students were allowed to choose the sessions that they wanted to attend. I felt like the students enjoyed the speakers and college fair. I look forward to taking classes in the future,” Counselor Leslie Hutchinson said.
