Paducah ISD

In 1992, I moved to Paducah to teach junior high math and coach junior high athletics. I taught junior high math and some technology for 18 years. Then in 2008, I was moved to high school math. I have been teaching Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Math Models and Pre-Calculus since then. In 2019, I started teaching a computer science class. I am also the facilitator of the dual credit College Algebra class.

I started teaching in 1991 at Ed Irons Junior High in Lubbock, TX where I taught 7th Grade Math and 9th Grade Computer Literacy. 

I have been married to my husband, Vance Thompson, since August 11, 1990. He was raised in Rotan and Stamford and has a business degree from Tarleton State University. We have 3 children: our son, Garrett, graduated from PHS in 2011, our daughter, Colby, graduated from PHS in 2014 and Tarleton State University in 2017, and our son, Sawyer, graduated from PHS in 2018. Garrett lives in Nashville, TN and is pursung a music career. Colby attends Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth pursuing her Master’s in ministry.  Sawyer is attending Tarleton State University seeking a degree in business. 

We raise AKC registered Silver Labradors.  My husband raises show pigs.  

You might say I'm a computer geek.  I enjoy all types of technology including taking photos, and editing photos and videos. I play piano and enjoy singing as well. I am a member of the worship team at my church, and I am a Christian. I am a die-hard Red Raider and Dragon fan.  I have been in the Paducah School system for 42 years either as a student or a teacher.
